Karl Lagerfeld Starts (Literally) Making Money

Karl Lagerfeld has gone into the business of making money — literally.

The Chanel designer took the label’s brand extension to a new level in Paris today when he unveiled a new five Euro coin that he’s designed for the French Mint. The limited-edition collector’s coin, which features Chanel’s signature quilted pattern on one side and the head of Coco Chanel on the other, was created to commemorate the 125th anniversary of Ms. Chanel’s birthday.

The coin will likely be an added marketing boost to the label at a time when there are movies out marking the event and the designer’s life. (Indeed, the Mint – Le Monnaie de Paris – approached Mr. Lagerfeld about making the coin because it expected Ms. Chanel’s birthday to be a big deal in France this year, said spokeswoman Isabelle de Segonzac.)

Although the coins bear the stamp of Five Euros, they will retail for far more than that — the four gold or silver versions range in price from 45 Euros to 5,900 Euros and will go on sale at the French Mint on Dec. 1. Chanel gets no portion of the proceeds, Ms. de Segonzac said.

Ashlee Simpson is NOW in Labor

Ashlee Simpson has gone into labor according to In Touch.

Ash, 24, and husband Pete Wentz, 29, are both at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. A family insider has confirmed, “Yes, she is in labor and the family [is] really excited and waiting to meet the baby!”

A false alarm occurred last week when Pete canceled his appearance with Larry King on CNN.

The musical duo got married on May 17th in Los Angeles.

Gossip Girl :: 2x11 "The Great Archibalds"

Their 2nd Thanksgiving Episode is so good, or should i say better than the first. Josh Schwartz did it again.

Here are the highlights of the episode. Several spoilers. If you haven't watched, I'm warning you.

-- Blair's Thanksgiving is ruined, thanks to Cyrus and his family. Dorota is trying to tell her a bit of Eleanor's secret about engagement, but in the end there's a surprise.

-- Jenny is homeless and was revealed to be living in the van der Woodsen/Bass suite with Eric hiding her. Finally with the help of everyone, let me say Blair too, she didn't continue her emmancipation wacko plans.

-- Nate's father has gone wacko again, and thinked of other wrong ways & schemes to get money. Once he found out about the ransom thingy he encouraged his dad to let himself out.

-- Dan is totally the most hated characted right now. Ever since episode 1 of Season 2, i'm totally hating him! Now he's saying Georgina to the new guy, Aaron. Which i think is really inapproriate. He doesn't have a right to talk about it.

-- Serena's past is haunting her. No! Not much major, No Georgina coming back. Serena is still dating Aaron Rose, but there are still questions about her wild past, considering Aaron is sober and wanted a good girl. Aaron is officially a "one-girl man" which is hard to believe.

-- Vanessa is kinda bitchy, that's all

I just love the episode. Except one thing, i don't think they should have refered the episode title to only Nate & The Archibald :( the whole story is about thanksgiving & family.

Hilary Duff is returning to TV with her new own show

Hilary Duff is returning to TV, signing a pact with NBC to star in a new series.
Under terms of the one-year talent and development deal, Peacock will develop a show starring Duff; they will also be tapped to guest star in various current NBC shows.

The Duff series would be produced by Universal Media Studios. Deal was announced by NBC Entertainment/ Universal Media Studios co-chairman Ben Silverman.

Duff will meet with writers and comb through the Peacock's development for the right project to star in.

In signing Duff, NBC Entertainment exec VP Teri Weinberg cited the thesp's "huge following" and versatility as a young talent.

Duff starred in a 2004 CBS pilot that wasn't picked up to series; since then, she's focused on her music and movie careers. The actress starred in this year's "War, Inc.," and will next be seen in the 2009 features "Safety Glass," "Stay Cool" and "Greta."

NBC Cancels Lipstick Jungle

NBC’s drama Lipstick Jungle has been canceled.

Kim Raver, Lindsay Price and Brooke Shields played the three female leads. That means no more shirtless Kirby Atwood (Robert Buckley)!!!

Gossip Girl :: 2x10 "Bonfire of the Vanity"

Well i just saw "Bonfire of the Vanity" today and another great episode.

On this week's episode, love is in the air for Serena, who is aglow with feelings for Aaron the artist. Also glowing? Eleanor Waldorf! Yes, Blair's mother has become totally smitten with Cyrus, a man Blair imagines to be as charming as Cary Grant. And because Blair is turning 18, she's determined to remain as poised as as possible, a la Grace Kelly, and welcome Cyrus with open arms.

Blair then becomes determined to kick Cyrus out of her and Eleanor's life ("Screw Grace Kelly. I need a scheme. That tiny man must have a big secret.") but ends up bonding with him (he brings her Cyndi Lauper!).

Jenny and Agnes are in a "business partnership" together and looking for some representation but it doesn't turns out good since Agnes and Little J is not in good terms and Agnes is not like a very good friend at all and have different plans. Meanwhile, not-so-little-J wants to continue having his line while Agnes is busy getting drunk. Agnes wasn't definitely happy about Jenny going solo so she BURNED Jenny's clothes. It was pretty bizzare if you ask me. There's shouting and crying. Totally crazy!!!

Dan is back to writing about "Charlie Trout," to his mentor's great pleasure. Dan interviews Bart Bass, but of course Chuck would definitely fish something out of this. Dan had no choice but to cancel it, as he returned his story to the Bass. The good side of it was Bart understands what Chuck feels now, that his father is blaming his mothers death because of his bitrh. Dan's horrible enough!

Little J is nhomeless again. How sad. But the fact that she's willing for her Emmancipation is totally crazt. She'll do everything to have her own fashion line. Isn't she too young??

Of course the clothes are to die for.
